

Motorsport Safety
Starting as a hobby Marc has been invovled in Motorsport for more than 25 years. In fact this year Mark his 21st British Grand Prix. Marc has been invovled with safety and training in many different branches of Motorsport from grass routes to Major series such as Wpr;d Super bikes, Formula one, British Touring Cars & Formula E


For every motorsport event there are minimum requirements for safety officials. In wheeled events each circuit has a prescibed number of fire tenders, ambulances, rescue crew and doctors. Marc is invovled with the management of the Emergency Services TEam at Donington Park.
THe requirement at Donington is for 2 Rescue Units which is equiped with heavy duty cutting equipment and medical equipment a doctor and a minimum of 3 recue crew who are trained and have passed an assesement of their skills in the past 3 year
The requirement for 2 wheeled events is slightly different. They require atleast one Fast Doctors Car with one doctor and a driver who is trained to drive on the track with motor cycles still racing and a knowledge of the circuit layout

Marc was also invovled with a large group of British Motorsport Marshals who were asked to travel to several new Grand Prix in the Far East to train locals and man the circuit for the first couple of Grand Prix
Marc Helped by manning Rescue 1 at Yas Marina in UAE and the first ever formula One night Race in Shang Shanghai
Marc was also a member of the formula E safety team looking after driver safety and medical requirments for all of the races for the first three years of the all electric racing series.
